what: a writing workshop for the in and between times and for connecting writers to each other and to the more-than-human world around them. integrates aspects of mindfulness and shinrin yoku (a Japanese term that translates to “forest bathing”). expect to read, write, edit, and polish five fresh poems. zoom reading in the last class.
when: 2-4pm EST on six consecutive Sundays in Jan-Feb 2023 beginning Jan. 1st and ending with a public reading on Feb. 5

internet connection with front-facing camera
a pen or other writing utensil, a notebook, and/or computer/smartphone
required text: individual poems and other content made available through google classroom
a sense of curiosity, gentleness, and an openness to being vulnerable and courageous

weekly writing invitation(s)
weekly reading of 3-5 poems/songs/art for inspiration
personalized feedback on one poem of your choice
a public reading and celebration of your new work
